Welcome to Modesto High Key Club

What is Key Club?

Key Club is an non-profit international organization led by high school students that teaches and spreads core values of caring, character-building, inclusiveness, and leadership through community service. We offer a variety of service opportunities for members and we support other organizations/programs such as March of Dimes, UNICEF, Children's Miracle Network, PTP, and the Eliminate Program.

Key Club was first established on May 7, 1925 and is sponsored by Kiwanis International. With Key Club on almost 5,000 high school campuses and being in 35 different countries, students serve over 12 million hours of community service a year.

What is MHS Key Club?

Modesto High Key Club follows the goals and traits of Key Club International. We help our local community through community service and raise money through fundraisers to better others round the world. Since Key Club is an international club, we are broken into sections. Modesto High Key Club is a part of Division 46 North, Region 12, and the CNH (California-Nevada-Hawaii) District. Each having a mascot with D46N being red pandas, region 12 being clouds and CNH being bees.

Recently, we have raised $260 for PTP at our midnight bowling and before that we raised about $124 selling water balloons at the June DCM, which we hosted.

Follow our social media above to see the events we serve and some behind the scene fun.

Why join Key Club?

Key Club helps you give back to your community and gives you the opportunities to be involved. Studies have shown that helping others through actions such as community service can increase happiness. For more selfish reasons, being involved in your community and joining an international organization such as Key Club can help you stand out on college applications. If you're in the IB program here at Modesto High, majority of our events can be used for CAS and this goes along with other students in programs needing community service such as AVID. We are a family with the other Key Clubs so we have other events that aren't direct actions to helping our community but depending on your role in the event, you can still use it for community service if needed.

Member Registration

You can join Key Club at any time of the year but you must fill out the member registration forms and pay the $12.00 due. This payment covers for one term, it goes back to Key Club International so it can continue to be a non-profit organization and it gives them Key Club insurance, but most importantly helps students make a difference. The payment must be renewed at the beginning of every school year to our current Treasurer Nicole Carter during our lunch meetings.

Due date: TBA

When are our meetings?

Our meetings are every Monday during 4th & 5th lunch unless it is a holiday or a non-attendance day. Follow our Remind Class to be reminded of our meetings and events!
